Core responsibilities in this role include:
• Accurately set up new clients on Xero and provide appropriate Xero training
• Ensure client accounts and tax returns are accurate and meet deadlines
• Prepare accurate management and financial accounts
• Prepare and file all GST, PAYE and FBT returns within set deadlines
• Prepare budgets
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping, journals and accounting work as required ensuring
that data is processed accurately, efficiently and within deadlines
• Manage workflow and complete jobs within budget
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
• Perform ad hoc duties as required by the Directors from time to time

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Directors in providing accurate and timely accounting information, implementing sound financial controls, and enabling clients to improve their financial processes.

To be successful in this role, the following would be an advantage:
Four years+ experience within an NZ Chartered Accounting firm
A genuine interest in business and sound financial reporting skills
Xero Certification and experience in training and assisting clients with Xero software
Thorough knowledge of Income Tax, GST, FBT and familiarity with the NZ IRD system
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
