After more than fifty years, our founding partner Selwyn Robertson is hanging up his hat.
Selwyn received a degree in Commerce from the University of Otago in 1967. Later that year, at the ripe age of 22, Peter O’Brien convinced him to move up from Dunedin. He became a chartered accountant in 1968, and he and Peter formed a business partnership shortly after, establishing what is now Robertson Bixley Ltd.
Selwyn has been dedicated to the firm, the accountancy industry and his clients since then (although you could never find him at the office on a Wednesday afternoon!). Even after stepping back as a Director in 2010, he remained a permanent figure here at Robertson Bixley providing consultancy services.
If you are a current client of Selwyn’s, rest assured you will be contacted in the coming months as he transitions you over to Directors Russell, Rodney, Fono and Nick.
We all here at Robertson Bixley would like to pass on our sincere gratitude to Selwyn for his incredible tenure and dedication to the firm and his clients. We wish Selwyn and Pauline all the very best in the next chapter of life – plenty of time now to perfect that golf swing!
